2 Part Question

1) What has the comments others have posted on my blog taught me about my own writing?

I’ve got comments for my blog postings from many other students, and learned several things from that comments. Most of all, I could check errors of my writings. Most comments were about what is wrong about my paragraph. They told me how to change it, and I could fix my wrong things. Second, I felt confidence with my paragraphs. Not only students told me what to change, but also did they tell my paragraphs were good. That made me feel confident of my writings. Lastly, I also felt gratitude for reading and correcting my writings. I know this is for assignments, but it surely did take some time to do reading and correcting. I am really thank for that.

2) What have the comments I have posted on other blogs taught me about writing?

Commenting on other students’ blogs taught me three things. First, I learned to write paragraphs in different ways. I always wrote paragraphs in the same way, but reading others’ let me realize that there are many ways to write paragraphs. Second, I developed a sense of responsibility. The thought that writers of paragraphs will read my comments, and apply my opinion to their final drafts, led me to have responsibility when commenting on paragraphs. Third, I learned to read carefully and analyze the paragraph. The reason is somehow the same with how come I got to develop the responsibility. My comments need to be helpful for writers, then I have to understand what they are talking about perfectly. That is why I learned to focus on the paragraph.

  1. Dear Jaewon,
I’m jealous that you get confidence by reading what others comment on your writing. Writing in English is difficult for me which makes me lose my confidence. I should learn from your positiveness.
    Sincerely,
    Dahee

  3. Dear Jaewon,
I totally agree with you. Comments which pick up and suggest to change errors seems to make me be discouraged, but they rather make me feel confident about my writing through correcting errors. Also, I often expend much time on commenting. This is why I have large responsibility to help other writers in the right direction, too. However, when I read your writing carefully, I was so hard to find any mistakes in my perspective.
    Thank you for good paragraph.
    Have a great day,
    Se-young

  4. Hi Jaewon,
I seem to feel a lot of empathy with your writing, and other friends also seem to have similar thoughts. Your post is so clear and concise. Another thing that I learned through the second reason of your second question. I just tried to catch up with other's comments, but I have to be responsible for what I wrote down on the post comments. I think that is the most important thing.
    Thanks a lot,
    Anna
