My
Ideal Place to Focus
The
ambience of the room influences my concentration. When I do a job that requires
the high level of concentration, I try to find the qualified place which I set
up standards. Standards which I established are the size of a desk, noise and
lighting, and the size of a room. The room that qualified all three of them can
be called my idealized place.
First
to say is the size of a desk. Since I am not an organized type, I put things
everywhere disorderly. If a desk is small, things I don’t use can interrupt the
space where I am actually using, and can take a lot of time finding what I am
looking for since everything will be piled up. That is why I prefer the big and
wide desk with many cabinets to put things away and to have my only-focused
space.
Second,
the lighting and the noise also affect my focusing. For the noise, I want a
quiet atmosphere, but not a noiseless place. I would like my room where I can
hear a daily noise, for example, the noise from cars passing by and wind. For
the lighting, I do not like to turn on the whole room’s light because I can see
all the things inside of a room and that feels like I am disturbed. Turning on a
desk lamp and spotlight where I am focusing on will be great, and it will make
me feel concentrating.
Third,
the size of the room is the most important thing when I choose the place to
focus on. I do not like the place where there is windows. It feels like I am
watched and interrupted so I prefer closed and small place. The place where can
have the big-sized desk, and where I can come in and out easily will be perfect
for me to concentrate.
When
I am in the place where all my standards are qualified, I feel relaxed and
focused. Whenever I need to concentrate on something, I look for where there is
a large desk, little light and noise, and small room.

Dear Jaewon,
답글삭제I can imagine your room easily because you describe your room very well. I’ve never been, but I think your room is very great. (I hope so!!) My ideal place is in my room, too. That’s why I agree with you. Finally, I’m sorry that I can’t see your room by photo.
Sincerely,
Dahee
